Patch was a poor little boy who was another follower of the local man, that Piccina followed. 😩
In 2008 we took Patch, as apart from being incredibly thin, he had a badly swollen and messy mouth. The vet seemed to think it was pine processionaria, horrible caterpillars, that do a lot of damage. After treatment, Patch lost a part of his tongue. Unfortunately, it was also discovered Patch also had Leishmania. We also treated him for that too, his coat grew back, and he became a lovely dog. He liked nothing more than his corner, in his bed.
You can see by his photos how he went from a very poorly looking boy to a completely cured, happy boy.
One day in October 2011, we did something we seldom do, we went out to lunch with some friends, when we got home we found Patch had died in our garden. We have no idea what happened, and we never will do, but we felt so guilty about going out, which is one of the reasons we seldom go out together. 💔 He had over three years with us, we won’t ever forget you, Patch.🐾
