Some people who lived not far from us owned Paddy. Then just before Christmas 2007, they moved away to Germany, leaving the dog in the garden. A nephew was supposed to be feeding him daily. Haha, once a week if he was lucky!
Hard to imagine, isn’t it? What sort of person would do that? It makes me so angry 😡 Paddy, of course, when he got hungry, found a way out of the garden, and down to our gate. But there was no way we could tempt him in. He was so nervous. For many months we fed him outside the gate. It took a long time, but eventually, he became brave enough to enter the garden. He used to come on walks with us but always stayed right back away from us all. Then suddenly there was no looking back. Everyone loved Paddy, he was such a gentle dog, he craved affection.
Unfortunately, he never got on with Lupo, I have to say it was Lupo, not Paddy who was the aggressor. But they didn’t have many clashes, we were on top of it, you have to be with so many dogs.
Sadly we lost Paddy in 2017, but he had a great life, one he wouldn’t have had, had we not taken him. He had 10 good years with us, so he was at least 11 or 12 years old. Again for such a big dog, it was a good age.😢 Beautiful boy Paddy 🐾❤️
