Flossy arrived in March 2007. I was out on my bike one morning and I witnessed Flossy being attacked by a pack of stray dogs. I immediately came to her defence, by shouting and shooing off the perpetrators. Of course, what happened then, she followed me home. What was I to do, she wasn’t going anywhere, she just sat outside our gate waiting for me. She adored all the attention she could get.
Flossy loved to run. She just loved going to the beach, running and playing. She was not averse to rolling in a nice piece of dead fish either, boy did that smell. She was by no means a puppy when we got her, and she was with us for 13 years, so I’d guess she was well over 15.
Flossy was a really healthy little dog, never had a vets visit in 13 years apart from being spayed. So it was such a shock when I woke one morning in June 2019 to find Flossy had passed in her sleep. Such a surprise, as she had been fine when we went to bed, but such a nice way for her to go 😘 I wish they all went that way. Bless you little Floss 🐾
