Goodbye Nana

Post 19 of 299

It was as I feared and Nana was put to sleep last week,he was getting no better, poor old boy. As always it was a very hard decsion to make, but we have to put the dog first. After all the losses we have had over the years,it never gets any easier. Not a good start to the New Year !

Nana was found in a village about 45 kilometres from us.We were asked if we could help,we drove to see him. There was this huge grey pup,he was cowering and very very afraid, people had been throwing stones and rocks at him,due to the sheer size of him, poor boy.

We brought him back with us. Mino took him to the vets for a check up. The vet said what a beautiful colour he was, such a lovely grey, the next day we took him to the groomers, turns out he was snow white,he had been sleeping in ash from the fireplace of the abandoned building that was his home !

He soon settled in and became part of the pack.

He had ten good years with us and his pals, sleep tight Nana our big big boy..
